Nihon Nights: GHOST IN THE SHELL (1995)

SJLL is happy to be an official supporter of the first ever Sudbury Indie Cinema Nihon Nights! The indie will be presenting a showing of Mamoru Oshii’s neo noir adult anime masterpiece GHOST IN THE SHELL (1995). Door prizes to be won! 
The film is set in 2029 Japan and follows Motoko Kusanagi, a cyborg public-security agent, who hunts an enigmatic hacker/ghost known as the Puppet Master.
GITS is considered to be one of the best anime and science-fiction films of all time and has inspired filmmakers such as the Wachowskis (The Matrix), and James Cameron (Avatar, The Terminator).
